Kim Chiu talked about her new TV series

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu is proud that she was able to experience a “sampal” from Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.

Kim has come a long way since she started her showbiz stint in the Pinoy Big Brother house. From being the Chinita Princess from Cebu, she was able to establish her career as an actress and TV host.

From that humble beginning, projects continue to come her way. Her recent acting project is the TV series Linlang on Prime Video with a star-studded cast.

In the series, Kim Chiu is joined by JM de Guzman, Paulo Avelino, and Maricel Soriano. Just recently, the trailer was released and this pleased Kim’s fans.

In a recent interview, the Kapamilya actress shared that she was happy to read positive comments after the trailer was released. Kim was gushing over the comments praising the series, especially her growth as an actress.

“Kinilig talaga ako, hindi talaga ako nakatulog nun,” she shared in a video shared by ABS-CBN News on X. She added that it felt like she was on cloud nine. With this positive feedback, Kim said that she is thankful. She is also hoping that people will support this as this is exclusively available on Prime Video.

When asked about the most memorable experience she had in filming scenes with Maricel Soriano, Kim Chiu said that she is proud that in her career, she was slapped by the Diamond Star.

“Masasabi ko na sa acting career ko, nasampal na ako ng isang Maricel Soriano. So, bucket list check,” she said. Kim also shared that the seasoned actress said sorry after the “sampal” scene. The Chinita Princess said to Maricel that there was no need for her to apologize because it was her dream to have that kind of acting experience.

Aside from Kim, there were also several celebrities who were slapped by Maricel Soriano in different projects.
