Kris Aquino is quietly but bravely fighting the hardest test of her life. In the latest statements of the Queen of All Media, she can no longer hide the extreme fatigue and pain that her body is carrying. Kris admitted that sometimes, she reaches a point where she just wants to give up because it seems like the fight against her illnesses is endless.

Kris has been facing a series of autoimmune diseases for more than two years that have weakened her once strong and energetic body. According to Kris herself, nine autoimmune conditions have been discovered in her, including lupus, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, mixed connective tissue disease, CREST syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Every day, she has to fight not only with physical pain but also with the emotional and mental suffering it causes.

In a passionate sharing on social media, Kris said that she is going through five conditions that could kill her. His words convey fear, worry, but above all, his deep gratitude to the people who did not abandon him in the midst of his weakness. He also shared that despite continuous treatment, his hemoglobin continues to drop, his joints swell, and his body gradually weakens.

Kris added that he is struggling to find enough strength to fight every day. It is no secret to many how brave Kris is in every trial of his life, from personal controversies to health challenges. But this time, his statements show his body gradually giving way to extreme fatigue and pain.

Many were surprised and saddened when speculations emerged that his illness had other causes such as witchcraft or poison. But experts and his doctors clarified that Kris’ illnesses were all medical and had sufficient explanations. Although not completely cured, specialists continue to provide therapies and treatments to slow the progression of her condition.

Meanwhile, Bimby, Kris’ son with James Yap, has decided to temporarily put the showbiz world aside to focus on his mother. According to Bimby, he wants to become a lawyer one day, but for now, his main goal is to remain a strong support for Kris in her fight for life.

As friends, family, and supporters continue to pray for her recovery, Kris deeply thanked everyone who continues to offer prayers for her. Despite fear and fatigue, she is still trying to draw out the remaining strength to continue the fight, not only for herself but most of all for her two children.

Kris Aquino revealed that her medical team has grown, given that she is now dealing with nine autoimmune diseases, while reiterating that she is not a “diva patient.”

Sharing photos of herself getting treated at the Makati Medical Center, Aquino opened up about her medical treatments for her autoimmune diseases on her Instagram page on Sunday, April 6. She also admitted that five of them “can cause [her] death.”

“Contrary to what you may assume, I am NOT a ‘diva’ patient. I asked vascular surgeon Dr. James which hospital he was most comfortable to do my PICC Line change in and he chose Makati Med,” she said.

“My medical team has grown because my diagnosed autoimmune diseases have now grown to 9. Five of them can cause my death. That has been hard to process. But slowly I am learning to leave everything to God’s will because He knows best,” she further explained.

The actress-host also shared that she regained her appetite and she currently weighs 88 pounds, while recalling the time she received turon, chocolate chip cookies, avocados, carabao milk, beef steak, pistachio sans rival, carbonara, and mangoes from friends.

“Jessica Soho is so caring [and] is a real friend — weekly she sends me mangoes, I eat a minimum of 3 a day. Chef Jessie for me makes the best angus Bistek Tagalog & her pistachio sans rival is superb. AMARE in Royce hotel, Clark has the best carbonara. I am now 88 pounds, that’s a WIN. Because God helps those who help themselves,” she added.

Aquino is currently battling nine autoimmune diseases, namely, Autoimmune Thyroiditis, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, Churg-Strauss syndrome or EGPA, Systemic Sclerosis or Scleroderma, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Polymyositis, and Mixed Connective Tissue disease.

She was previously based in the US for her treatments, although she returned to the Philippines in September of last year
