SH0CKING: Allen Dizon Uncovers Nora Aunor’s Secret Acts of Kindness—Daily Giveaways That Touched Every Heart on Set!

It’s been two years since actor Allen Dizon had the opportunity to work with the late Superstar Nora Aunor in the still-unreleased film Ligalig, but in an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, he revealed why he will never forget his experience with her — especially the moments off-camera.

“Every day, there was a raffle. Every day, there was some kind of silly game — games that didn’t even make sense — just so she could give away money. You know what I mean? I thought, ‘Wow, Ate Guy is incredibly kind and generous,’” he recalled during the premiere of his latest film Fatherland on April 22.

Allen shared that he witnessed firsthand the immense generosity of the country’s one and only Superstar.

“You know, they say she didn’t care if she ran out of money — if someone came to her for help, she would give what she had. There are so few people like that nowadays. People who genuinely help those in need, sincerely and seriously. Ate Guy had a truly unique heart, didn’t she?” he added.

Working on Ligalig became more than just a professional project for Allen. He said the experience taught him not only how to improve as an actor but also how to become a better person through Nora’s example.

“You learn so much from her. And I know that artists like myself will carry on what Ate Guy started — how to give to people, how to help those in need, and how to unite. That’s what I believe she wanted — for everyone to love one another. Especially in the showbiz industry — to support each other. During the time I worked with her, I learned so much. You could feel how much she loved her co-actors. You saw how she transformed when the camera rolled. She’s one of a kind, and I know many people deeply regret her passing,” he explained.

After attending Nora Aunor’s wake, Allen shared his emotional response upon seeing the overwhelming love and support from the public.

“I went to Ate Guy’s wake, and of course, it was sad. It was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time because so many people loved her. She helped so many. She brought joy to countless lives. She changed the world of showbiz — she reshaped the industry with what she shared with others. She shared all her blessings — with her loved ones, with her fans,” he said.

With over 27 years in the entertainment industry, Allen described his work with Nora Aunor as a career-defining moment.

“Yes, because I got to work with Ate Guy. Imagine being in a film with her — you have to give your best, you have to step up your game.”

“I worked with Ate Guy on a film, Ligalig. It still hasn’t been released. I believe it’s one of the last films she made. It was both the first and last time I got to work with her. And it was such a joy. Every shoot, she would give away her own money — to the crew, to the people on set. It was truly something special.”
