People are currently talking about the rumor that Bimby, the son of Kris Aquino, is courting a girl—and about Kris’s reaction to it.

There’s a buzz of excitement surrounding the closeness between Kris Aquino’s youngest, Bimby, and Cassandra, the daughter of Mayor Junjun and Andrea “Andeng” Inar. Many were thrilled to see the two young teens together at an event held last Saturday, May 3, in Sitio Mansete, Antipolo.

The excitement peaked when Bimby and Cassandra performed a duet at the event and even joined in dancing with the locals of Antipolo. Before that, the two had already been seen together at an advocacy event Cassandra organized last April 5, also in Antipolo. During that event, Cassandra launched a foundation called CASMA, which aims to support the emotional and mental well-being of the youth. The group is composed mainly of high school students.

Because of their chemistry, many are asking whether there’s something going on between Bimby and Cassandra. In fact, they’ve already gained a few fans who promised to support them if ever they enter showbiz.

In an interview with veteran entertainment writer Gorgy Rula, Andeng Inar clarified that her daughter and Bimby are just friends, so people shouldn’t misinterpret their closeness.

It can be recalled that Kris Aquino was previously asked in OG Diaz’s vlog if she’s ready for Bimby to have a girlfriend now that he’s growing up. Kris responded:

“There’s already someone I like. In fact, I like two—or maybe three. I had three girls [in mind].”

When OG followed up by asking if she liked all of them for Bimby, Kris replied:

“No. I have one favorite—and they’re a great match.”

Could she have been referring to Cassandra? It’s possible, especially since Kris even advised her son to send flowers to the girl.

But Bimby responded,

“The style of courting is different now.”
“I told her, ‘Ma’am, the style’s different now. It’s a new generation, Mama.’”

Kris, on the other hand, is incredibly proud of how she raised her youngest son:

“I want Bim to be an inspiration to other kids. Normally, it’s the mother who takes care of the child—but in our case, the roles were reversed.”
